Regrets - I've Had a Few...

Someone on the explore chat suggested I keep a blog of my pictures that I caption. After a huge search, some pilfering, and digging through old files, I've found most of them. Thanks to all the CPs who helped - I learned a lot doing this! The pics were a wonderful archive of fabulous memories of the last six months since I learned to do some photo-shopping and captioning. Some are still missing: I really wish I had the pic of the giraffe peeking into the business meeting in the new G-tent, Dutchie adventures on Puppy Hill and Neal's arrival in the nursery, the antics of the puppies at WCC trying to reach the window in the PEC or heading down to the river for a swim.... I'm hoping some pop up from time to time in the Facebook pages - it seems pics do occasionally resurface with whatever algorithm FB uses. But from now on, I intend to keep adding them to the blog - my own memory book for SDP and WCC.

If, by any chance, you've saved one of my captioned pics to your own files somewhere, could you PM it to me? Thanks!! Enjoy the trip back down memory lane.

giraffes

GIRAFFES!!!!

Little did that caller know how many jokes we were going to get out of her snarky comment about "You'd better be raising giraffes if you need that tent!"  Well, we ARE!!!  Danes ARE the "giraffes" in the dog world - long-legged, sleek, and incredibly adorable!!!!  The giraffe comment led me to learn how to do some basic photo-shopping.  (It was fun but I wouldn't want to do it for a career.)

The New G-Tent

and I learn to combine pics together - erase and resize

Megan was on vacation while all this was going on.  I thought she'd better be ready for her next task.

And the giraffes might as well enjoy all of Pam's wonderful stories
she tells the babies while she's puppysitting, as well:

The giraffes began appearing inside the barn:

And then CPs started SENDING giraffes and signs and toys to the farm.
Crazy Acres was becoming a giraffe habitat:

They even inspired the name for the Monday Night Dinner Cooking blog
Giraffes in the Kitchen
(which led to the name of THIS blog!)

We love giraffes!!!!

I'm still looking for the pic of the meeting in the G-tent, with a giraffe peaking over (and eaavesdropping) from behind the food storage shed.
